Lybia: analysis, jokes and answers - part 2/3

LIGHT ON DARK CORNERS

Message of the mainstream media: The “Volunteers' coalition”, under USA-NATO mandate, is currently engaged in a “humanitarian war” against Lybia “to protect the life of innocent civilians”

Lybian citizens say: "We are losing many lives, military and civilians. Today the air strikes continued for hours and hours non-stop. We believe many civilians were killed including some families who are escaping the air strikes in their cars" source: Al Jazeera So this is the point! Bombing civilians in order to avoid that... Gaddafy would bomb civilians.....

The “imperialists” reaction: A leading France together with USA, UK, Italy and some countries of the middle East (Saudi Arabia, Quatar...) declared they need to intervene with the resolution 1973 to avoid a massacre of defenseless civilians. But apart from the fraud of mass grave and the sensational press campaign on hiring mercenaries (with devasting consequences for african immigrants) there are no evidences that prove it to be a massacre: from the images we see on the news it seems more like a civil war. So....what's the story?!

And why we have a leading France instead of the usual US? In addition to economic interests, a further reason could be Sarkozy's grandeur dreams on the European and world scenario. What happens is that the airplanes' “coalition” - from now on we'll call them the “imperialists” - support the armed rebels. This is a change, because UN so far always complied with the second article of its charter, not to get involved in domestic affairs.

Gaddafi's request: in the wake of the Imperialists' attacks all what Gheddafi is asking to the UN is an enquiry mission to verify facts: how the rebellion started, why weapons were there from day 1, who provided them, who is responsible for the highest number of dead... but his request remains unsatisfied.

Joke time! "According to reports, Gaddafi is surrounded by an elite corps of female bodyguards, all of whom are virgins. In a related story, today Charlie Sheen invaded Libya."

Nationalization of oil supplies: In 2009 Gheddafy declared that, due to a fall of oil prices, oil should be nationalized. This was obviously going against the Imperialists interests, ringing a worrying alarm bell for Shell, BP, ExxonMobil, Hess Corp., Marathon Oil, Occidental Petroleum, ConocoPhillips, the Spanish Repsol, the German Wintershall, the Austrian OMV, the Norwegian Statoil, the Italian Eni and Petro Canada. But that was not it: in addition Gheddafy proclaimed that the profits shall be diveded directly among the population. Unfortunately this proposal has been rejected as the parliament massively voted against it.

In 1953 USA and UK plotted against Iranian Prime Minister Mossadegh who was planning to nationalize oil. CIA had been sent to destabilize the country and the brutal dictator Mohammad-Reza Shah Pahlavi and its secret police, SAVAK, had been installed.

Let's also not forget that there have been even worse wars in the world, such as in Darfur and Rwanda, but no oil was there, and nobody cared too much about those countries. As George Clooney would say: “no oil, no party”.

Joke time! 70% of Americans support the war in Lybia. The remaining 30% is for renewable energies.

Great artificial river” project: In 1960 a huge amount of underground water has been discovered in Lybian territory. Four are the underground water basins: Kufra, Sirte, Morzuk and Hamada. The total reserve amounts to 35.000 Kilometres cube of water, endless quantiy for the Lybian population. The “Great man made river” project kicked off in 1983 after finding it more viable to bring the water to the currently established cities instead of moving the population to the water sources. Its aim is to deliver water to the population for domestic, irrigation, industrial and municipal usage. As 20% of the total imports of Lybia are food supplies, 70% of the water will be used for agricultural purposes. The total cost of this spectacular project is 25 billion US dollars and its pipes will extend for 4000 kilometres in the desert aiming at making Lybian population self sufficient. In 1996 during a ceremony for opening the final phase of the project, Gheddady stated that “this is the best response to USA who accuses us to fund terrorism” and that “after this achievement USA threats will double and they will attempt to stop us, to keep Lybia population oppressed”. In fact this project goes against IMF and World Bank schemes for water control. These institutions blocked similar big projects such as Jonglei Canal, in Sudan.

Joke time! Today is the Ides of March, the day on which in 44 B.C. Julius Caesar was stabbed to death by 60 Roman Senators. That could never happen today. We can't get 60 Senators to agree on anything.

Bank and Gold: Something that is being rarely mentioned by western politicians and media is that, contrary to most other nations, the Lybian Central Bank is owned 100% by the state. The global stakeholders of international finance are not particularly happy with such a situation.

Lybia holds the second highest gold reserve in proportion to the GDP than any other country after Libanon. Will this gold stay in Lybia once the imperialists will have taken control over Tripoli, will it get lost or will it get changed with worthless US dollars notes?

Getting rid of the Lybian Central Bank will not for sure come up in the speeches of Sarkozy, Obama or Cameron, but it is definitely at the top of their agenda. It seems to me that any country going in a different direction of the globalist bulk will be “rescued” and converted by the military arm(y) of the imperialists.

Gold Dinar: The current global economic crisis forced few governments to take into consideration the introduction of an international golden currency. While China is clearly trying to position the yuan or renminbi as the alternative global reserve currency by backing it up with as much gold as possible (although it reserves are still less than half than countries such as France or Italy), Gheddafy launched the idea of a unified golden currency for the whole African continent and the arab world: the gold dinar. On this financial basis, the idea would be to create a single African state. Such idea is being ongoing for a few years but is not supported by Middle East, South Africa and Western countries. Gheddafi pushed towards this project aiming at removing the worthless dollar and give power to Africa with a golden currency. This is - again – against the mainstream western interests.
