CROP CIRCLES, MAYA, UNIVERSE, AND MUCH MORE…

There was a people who had deep knowledge. A people, whose messages have been passed down in time: the Maya. The eternal appeal of mystery surrounds the deep knowledge of this ancient civilization, whose memory has been lost in the mists of times. The Maya’s calendar is known and studied by numerous researchers. Some believe that is bearer of a prophetic message, but its decipherment, is anyway not complete yet.
Maya believed that time was cyclic. Every 5125 years, in fact, would end an era by opening a new one .Un event that, according to some prophecies would be fulfilled again on December 21, 2012.A decisive date so, in which some believe, major changes will occur in humans and our planet.
In the south of England, for several decades, an amazing phenomenon occurs. Fascinating and disconcerting at the same time: Crop circles

However, in recent years the mystery has got thick. On wheat fields, disquieting Maya figures begun to appear.

How likely is a hide an incredible connection between the Maya’s prophecies and crop circles? Who or what could draw these icons with references bringing together past, present and future?
Could the circles be a communication attempt? The hypothesis is revolutionary, but there are strong obstacles related to the skepticism that surrounds the crop circles phenomenon. Most people are convinced that the pictograms are of human origin. A joke organized by bands funny chaps (I find very funny the English translation of “buontempone” = “Funny chap” lol ). And all this, despite pictograms of enormous proportions and extreme complexity, have appeared in just one night. In 2007, however, it happened something incredible and totally unexpected: An event that has thrown into crisis all scientific approaches to the problem, strongly rising the “not a human origin “theory, but it would be instead a form of communication of non-terrestrial intelligences.
What about an alien civilization, trying to speak with us? ( I must admit, I like the idea )
The night between 6 and 7 July 2007, the researcher Wilson Kitch sets up a series of cameras on the hill overlooking the Eastfield area, in the south of England, always very present in the crop circle’s geography.

He is joined by other researchers. Around 11:00 PM, they put a few cameras on top of the hill and others above a van. The cameras over the van were one infrared and one high-resolution. In addition, the cameras positioned on the hill were one “long exposure” and one "capture image". Around 1.30AM the researchers analyze the captures images camera scansion and clearly see that at that hour (1:35) there are no signs of crop circles or anything like that. Then, the researchers sit and chat until about three in the morning.
Just after 3PM, they note a great beam of white light in the sky.

They don’t know what’s that, but this reminds to the cameraman to change the tapes. He changes the tapes and returns back the group. They keep talking for a while until a few rays of light begins to illuminate the fields around Eastfield. At that point, they see a nearly imperceptible shade on Eastfield. It’s around 4 am and the researchers are watching astonished, a crop circle
From further analysis of the cameras tapes above the van movies, (two cameras constantly filming throughout the night, from 11:00 pm to 5.00AM) they confirmed there was nothing on the ground. Any light of a car or something else, would have been catch. The researchers have access to a total of 16 hours of video.
Some of that pictogram’s circles, moreover, follow the land undulations, so that visualized from above result to be perfectly circular, a further confirmation indicating the remote possibility of human origin, at least in this case.

When Maya refer to 2012, they seem to speak about a kind of evolutional jump. The term prophecy is actually likened to Maya, in a not really correct way. The Maya, in fact, identified a regular cycle of universe’s uptime. Based on this knowledge, they were able to predict with centuries in advance major astronomical events. In order to calculate those cycles, Maya developed a complex system of calendars. The shortest cycle was 52 years, obtained through the integration of two different calendars: The sacred calendar called Tzolkin and the civil calendar called Haab.
According to their studies, our solar system performs a circular approaching-separation motion from the center of the galaxy, the Milky Way, which lasts 25.625 years. That cycle that the Mayans called “galactic day” was divided into 5 sub-cycles of 5.125 years each considerate as single ages and that they called “Suns”. At end of each sun, they assumed that a strong flow of energy went away from the center of the galaxy, causing significant changes at the global level here in earth.

Strangely, the Mayan prediction about the energy from the galactic center appears in a crop circle on July 16, 1996, at West Kennet. How is possible this link between the Mayan prophecies and this crop circle? The message seems to be anyway even more precise. According to current knowledge, this disposition of the sky should occur in the month of December 2012. Does it perhaps indicate the moment of maximum energy intensity? The Mayans believed that already 4 suns (4 cycles) of 5125 years each were passed since of the galactic day. Therefore, according to their calculations, we are now at the end of the fifth sun or fifth cycle begun on August 13, 3114 BC, and ending December 21, 2012.

Even more strangely the same…idea…or the same calculation, if you want, is supported by different mythologies:

The Zeitgeist explains and develops the same concept of ages finding an astonishing relation between Zodiac Mythology and Christianity.

Please have a quick look at the following frame ( min 2:07 to 3:24 )

It is important to note that the Mayan Dresden Code, for instance, contains forecasting that anticipate with astonishing accuracy astronomical phenomena occurring in the very distant future. The code predicted, for example centuries ahead, and with an error of a few seconds, the eclipse of 11 August 1991, one of the most spectacular of the last century in Mexico. The Dresden code’s prophecy says: "Woe to you, humans. Will come the end of Jaguar knights and the beginning of a new age that will be built above the ashes of the previous one. It will be the time of the meeting with lords of the stars. "
Scaring, isn’t? :-)

So the 1991 eclipse is considered by the Maya as a starting point marking the end of the previous age and the meeting with lords from the stars. Does this mean the contact between humanity and an alien civilization?

On 13 August 2000, near the military radio signal center Chilbolton, a wonderful crop circle appears. Its proximity to a structure supervised 24/24 makes difficult, if not impossible, to hypothesize its human origin.
The explanation will come, unexpectedly, the following year. In the same field, on 14August 2001, a new pictogram appears. This time, however, is not the usual symbol. It’s actually a humanoid face clearly designed using the same technique of the old black and white newspapers’ pictures: A set of points whose difference in size and tonnage creates the image.Just five days later, on August 19, few meters away from the alien face, another even more shocking figure appears. Seems to be the reply message in binary code, to the message transmitted by the telescope in 1974. It that year, in fact, the famous astronomer Carl Sagan tried to communicate with a group of stars identified as M13.

He sent a “man presentation” message to an hypothetical alien civilization providing information about our number system, the base atoms of life on earth, the human DNA structure, and data related our Solar System. He also included data about the Radio Station.

Extremly intresting the wikipedia link about that story. You must to have a look at that :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arecibo_message

According to calculations, the message it would have taken 25,000 years to reach the destination, and as many more would have taken to get the hypothetic answer. Too long time and no one could have known if in that group of stars existed an alien civilization.
It’s possible that someone has received our message and has replied? And… much sooner than expected?
One year later, on the west fields of Winchester, another even more astounding crop circle appears. It shows an alien who holds a CD, on which is imprinted a message in binary code. That’s the ASCII programming computer code.
The so-called "alien face" has raised a hornet's of polemics about its authenticity.
The complexity of implementation, which simulates the way a television frame is composed, the three-dimensional shape, the difficulty of making the binary code in helical sense, are all elements that make very difficult the possibility of human origin.

On 2 August 2004, one of the most spectacular figures of Mayan style appears again.
It represents the sacred calendar Maya, the Tzolkin.
The external part of the circle consists of twenty elements, while the inside circle is made a group of 13 bars repeated 4 times. 13 X 20 is equal to 260 or the Tzolkin calendar days, while 13 X 4 is 52 that are the years of the Haab calendar.
Going towards the center of this figure we have a half arch, indicating the day zero, which is the day when the Pleiades, the sun and earth are supposed to be aligned. Nevertheless, the figure also represents a partial eclipse of the sun….Actually… on 20 May 2012, there will be a partial sun eclipse. On that date, in fact the sun will align at midday, with the Pleiades above the Chichen Itza pyramid...

In order to know if Maya actually meant something or nothing, and if crop circles actually means something or just…just nothing….the only think we need to do, is waiting :-) 2012…is not too far :-P

  1. Something stood out in the Arecibo message. Alien DNA representation has the other side completely different and I was thinking what it means. Thinking if it is representation of transdimensional capabilities, energy fields or some other thing still hidden from us...

btw, couldnt click the wikipedia link, something you might want to fix. Beyond that, I like it.

  2. Hi Ettore, thank you for these posts.
I find they are very well written providing the reader with a good level of background and information.
Again, the only way different I would have done is to post them not all together because as a reader I might feel scared by the amount of lines – bear in mind I am the modern reader, a multitasking person who can focus on 5 different open applications at the same time but is unable to focus too long on only one.
I was just wondering, hearing of people breaking up and divorcing, it would be wonderful if the reading would be transposed to sexual life: 5 different lovers in one week, but hey, cannot engage into only 1! :-D
Coming back to the topic, I am fascinated by crop circles and alien theories because I believe them to be true! So yes, call me an idiot, but I am atheist and believe in the existence of aliens.
Soon I will write something about them. But now the point is: the Earth environment is collapsing due to the rough and reckless exploitation of our resources by capitalists with the example of North Pole being melted right now!! This effect, rather than lead us back to the respect of nature, drives us even further because it will be easier to access oil reserves in the north Pole area. Ironic, isn’t it?
Why did I mention this? I was just wondering: if in December 2012 major changes will occur – and assuming aliens exist and are involved – do aliens come over because they are more concerned with the destruction that our planet is undergoing more than us living on it?
I know it sounds soooo crazy, and it’s most likely a unreal theory because it would not make too much sense....unless if you see the Earth as a special planet, a sort of Jewel of this side of the Universe, something that should be preserved within a bigger picture...
Conclusion: these are crazy theories. I do not honestly believe that in December 2012 major catastrophes or an alien invasion will occur, but I do believe about the existence of other beings in our galaxy. And I believe they are watching at us...
Ettore if you find out more info (must be relevant) let us know please! Thanks for this buddy ;-)

  3. Tapani, Aeolus, thank you for replying.
    Tapani amico mio,
    Interesting consideration indeed.
I didn’t actually know about the Alien DNA representation,( or better I didn’t realize that) and of course your intuition it as much fascinating as scaring. “Three dimensional capabilities, energy fields or some other thing still hidden from us...” Well, of course your consideration brings us back to the “Crop circles: Preliminary Remaks” Post. Perception.
The perception of what life is for us, how we represent the idea of human or not-human life inside our human heads. As you fairly say: “things still hidden from us…”

    Aeolus,
Thanks again for your suggestions. The blog world is definitely new to me, and yes, it definitely was a mistake posting all at once. Huge work behind those post my friend, believe me, and posting them like that has certainly devalued both my work and reader’s interested.

About your Theory “I know it sounds soooo crazy”… and…”unless if you see the Earth as a special planet”

Again, in my opinion, those thinks are, once more, the result of unconsciously trying to read or interpret possible non-human scenarios using as parameters, the human ones.

Why should it sound crazy? It doesn’t sound crazy at all to me. That’s just one of the billions of probabilities. Is not crazy, is just an option.

    In fine:
I believe in them too. I’m sure there is life over there, somewhere. I just watch out of not giving them (inside my head) human or pseudo human form, shape or ideas.

Be sure Aeolus, I collected a lot of material. I’ll write about Alien soon.

Get synchronized about that it wouldn’t be a bad idea at all.

  4. [first part]

    Hi Hector,
as you would easily guess, here is my comment about all this.
Complex topic and good explanations by you. But (you knew that there would have been a "but"), as you righteously compare aliens believer with gods believer, in the same way you provide just one
side of the matter. Mostly based on deduction and inference, but driven by the willingness to
believe. That impedes you to see all the rest: the rational and proven explanations of this
    topic.
Confess! Do you have a poster like the Fox Mulder's one? ;-)
    http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/attachment.php?attachmentid=101090&stc=1&d=1132554261

Besides jokes (I'll try to), I'll try to answer all of your statements and assumptions.
We already spent thousands of words and litres of ink about the belief topic, so I will skip this one. You already know very well what I think about it and this is the reason why you knew I would have replied.
You have tried to make your point about communication. Saying that there could be ways of communication that we are not capable, not even, to imagine. Well... fascinating!
I would agree with you totally, but not in this topic. That is because IF a hypothetical alien
would communicate with us. He/she (how many genders they would have?) would try to use some languages that would be universal.
As any physicist, mathematician and so on could confirm you; the universal language already
exist. We have ways, means and willingness to understand and even use this "language".
In this massive universe there are constants. Which are the same everywhere. I won't give you a list of it. Would be too long, but think about hydrogen atoms or pulsar positions or prime numbers, etc.
If you want examples of attempts to use this "language" you could refer to these links, which
will give you a precise idea of what I mean:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyager_Golden_Record
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_plaque
Last, but not least, the Arecibo message you were referring to, is another example.
About this last one, Carl Sagan have just tried to give a demonstration to his audience, back
then. If I'm not wrong was a kind of fund-raising or opening for SETI. It was just an advertisement.
He sent the Arecibo message towards those stars. The message would take 25000 years to arrive, but you know what? In this time those stars would be no longer there!!!
So, let's drop it. It is not worth to discuss about it.

You are perfectly right saying that it have mostly begun in England. The first (or one of the earliest anyway) were two English retired men. I suppose these pranksters were really bored and they found something funny to do. Those guys are Bower and Chorley. Wikipedia doesn't tell much about them, but if you look around you will find their statements about why they have done it, why they decided to came out, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crop_circle#Bower_and_Chorley
Especially they demonstrate that you don't need such a superior skills or tools to make crop
    circles.
And just beside it, why are they called crop "circles"? Have you noticed that mostly those
pictograms are realized mainly with circles? The explanations is simple. It is very easy to
flatten crops in a circular form and is very good looking. You just need a rope and a pole.
There are even more honest people who build a business about it. Have a look to
http://www.circlemakers.org/ (I like the one they did for Korn concert)

  5. [second part]

Maya topic is a bit more complex to go through. Unfortunately, we don't have so many evidence
about their knowledge. You can mostly thank the European conquerors, who built the "new world". Specifically about Maya, be thankful to Spanish people.
By the signs they left behind and we didn't yet stolen, destroyed or so; we know they were really proficient about astronomy. And there is no surprise about that. Maya brains was not different at all by nowadays brains. So with willingness and a lot of patience and observation whoever could have achieved this knowledge in a timeframe of a bunch of centuries (considering their means), they had more time. Don't misunderstand me, I appreciate and estimate their achievements, but there is nothing spooky about it.
Again, thanks to the Spanish delicateness we don't know exactly how much good they were. We have similar problems with building techniques of pyramids. We are often astonished about the ancient knowledge, just because we were so stupid to destroy most of it and now we are still struggling to achieve something we (human being) already have... don't let me start this topic.
Eventually my point is, Maya people were really good with astronomy and math, but they mixed their beliefs with their knowledge. No surprise about it. The surprise is people still believing in it!
Another example of nice ancient technique to shape pictograms which will look brilliant from above are the Nazca Line: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazca_Lines

Coming back to the main topic, I would consider some variables. As you said, we have no lack of stars or galaxies. And recently, out technology developed enough to begin to "see" the first planets. We now know that planets are not so rare as we thought. Besides we have found mostly wrong our planet formation models. :-(
But how long it will last a civilization?
This is an important question, because you can be absolutely sure of life in other solar system. We are almost sure there was life on Mars. And we are relatively confident there are moons in our own solar system which could (and likely do) host life in this very moment. I'm speaking about Europa (moon of Jupiter), for instance.
Another matter is intelligent life. We assume that sooner or later, life will develop intelligence. Unfortunately we can just observe our evolution. So we are not totally sure. The assumption says that being intelligent is the biggest advantage, natural selection will achieve that, somewhere in time.
Even admitting intelligent life, where are they located. Are they in affordable communication range? Or rather they are in another galaxy? Assuming we can communicate with them, the delay will be longer than our lifespan as a species? And how long last a civilization?
Compared to the age of the universe (about 13 billion years), how little is the lifespan of our civilization so far? And for most of this time we had no idea of EM radiations..

    In conclusion:
Is there extraterrestrial lifeform? You can bet on it.
Are they intelligent? Be confident that somewhere they are.
Are they alive in the same moment we are? Very very unlikely.
Can we communicate with them? Forget it!

Needless to say somebody already thought about that. This man was Drake who setup an equation:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drake_equation
Luckily this page is fairly updated, so you can see the current estimate, based on our latest discovers.

That's it. I'll stop here, otherwise would have been more convenient another thread rather than a comment! :-)

    See you soon.

  8. Hi Ector, I was listening to this song of Caparezza and had to think about your post.
Part of the lyrics go like that: "with a shuttle...we are sending...shiiit in theee spaaace.... aliens, it is on on the way to you, shiiiit in theeee spaaace.....you are artists, make crop circles, we send shiiiiit to spaaaaace"
Here following the link on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fC88mrTl7lM
Unfortunately the song is in Italian
